OurTemp is the data controller for this website's services. This notice applies to temporary inboxes, code-based login, long-term aliases, delivery archives, and authenticator settings on ourtemp.com.
How third-party websites use the temporary address you provide is outside OurTemp's control. Emails sent by third parties may also be subject to their own privacy policies.
The temporary email feature processes generated addresses, access tokens, expiration times, and the sender, subject, time, text, or HTML content of messages received at that address. We also process deletion and extension actions to display service status.
The long-term workspace processes your login email, code verification results, created aliases, forwarding status, and recent delivery records. When two-step verification is enabled, we store the key material needed for verification, but never ask for your authenticator account password.
We use this data to deliver the receiving, display, forwarding, deletion, and security confirmation features you request. Necessary technical logs help prevent automated abuse, troubleshoot problems, and keep the service available.
We don't use email content to build cross-site advertising profiles or sell address lists. If the law requires us to retain specific records, we limit processing to what is necessary to meet that obligation.
Temporary inboxes are valid for 3 hours by default, and you can extend them in the interface. After expiration, the address and messages enter an automatic deletion process. Deleting an individual message or changing the address can trigger the relevant cleanup sooner.
Long-term aliases remain until you delete them or close your account. Delivery archives are kept for up to 30 days and deleted on a rolling basis. Residual backup copies exist only for the disaster-recovery cycle and are then overwritten.
We may use infrastructure, email delivery, and security monitoring providers to operate the service. They process only the necessary data under contract and our instructions. We don't allow processors to use email content for their own marketing.
We may disclose the minimum relevant records when required by valid legal process, to protect user safety, or to investigate serious abuse. If the company or its assets are sold, the recipient must continue to meet protections comparable to those in this notice.
Our infrastructure may be located outside your country or region, so data may be transferred internationally. We reduce the risks of international processing through contractual safeguards, access controls, and data minimization.
Legal protections may differ between regions. You can contact our support email to ask about the main processing regions and safeguards relevant to your request.
We use encryption in transit, token-based access, isolated HTML viewing, permission separation, and rate limiting to protect the service. The long-term workspace can also enable a second authenticator-based confirmation step.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Temporary email is especially unsuitable for banking, healthcare, government, or important accounts that depend on long-term recovery. Don't store irreplaceable secrets or private keys in email.
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restrictions on the account data we hold. You may also object to specific processing. To avoid giving information to the wrong person, we may require verification from the account email.
Send requests to support@ourtemp.com and specify the feature and address involved. We usually respond within 30 days; if a complex request takes longer, we'll explain why.
OurTemp is not directed at children below the applicable digital age of consent in their region and does not knowingly collect children's data. If a guardian believes a child provided account data to us, they can contact us for verification.
Once we confirm inappropriate collection, we'll take reasonable steps to delete the related account data. Data from expired temporary inboxes usually cannot be recovered or linked to an individual.
The system automatically handles expiration deletion, rate limits, spam and abuse prevention. These measures operate and protect the service; they are not used to make profiling decisions about individuals with legal or similarly significant effects.
If an ordinary request is incorrectly blocked by automated protection, contact support and provide the time it occurred. We'll conduct a human review where security allows.
When the service or legal requirements change, we'll update this notice and adjust the date at the top of the page. We explain significant changes prominently on the site and won't quietly use old data for incompatible new purposes.
For questions, requests, or complaints about our data practices, contact support@ourtemp.com. You may also complain to the data protection authority with jurisdiction in your location.
