Service rules
Using OurTemp means you agree to these rules. They cover temporary inboxes, long-term aliases, delivery history, and account security features. Effective date: August 25, 2026.
Free and receive-only; temporary addresses expire, and the service does not promise to retain emails forever.
Make sure the destination site allows these addresses, and save anything you truly need before expiration.
Automated blasts, fraud, infringement, ban evasion, or system interference may result in restrictions or termination.
For questions about these rules, infringement, or your account, email support@ourtemp.com.
| Feature | How it works | Important limits |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary inbox | 3 hours by default; extendable in the interface | May not be recoverable after expiry or changing the address |
| Long-term alias | Create, pause, and delete after verifying an email address | Not every sender is guaranteed to accept forwarding addresses |
| Delivery history | Recent messages shown for up to 30 days | Not a compliant archive or permanent backup |
| Authenticator protection | Optional second-step sign-in confirmation | You are responsible for safeguarding your authenticator and recovery options |
By accessing or using OurTemp, you agree to these service rules and our data practices notice. If you disagree, stop using the service and delete the current address or account.
If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these rules. Mandatory consumer rights in some jurisdictions are not excluded by these terms.
OurTemp provides temporary, receive-only addresses, plus long-term forwarding aliases, recent delivery history, and authenticator protection after email verification. We do not provide outbound email, permanent mailbox hosting, or guaranteed account recovery.
Temporary features generally require no registration; long-term features require verification-code sign-in. Specific quotas, expiration periods, and available features may change as security and capacity require.
You must be legally old enough to use online services where you live and able to understand these rules. Do not create an account for someone else or use another person’s email without authorization.
You are responsible for protecting your login email, verification codes, access tokens, and authenticator. If you detect unauthorized access, sign out immediately, update the relevant security measures, and contact support.
You may use the service for lawful short-term registrations, testing, marketing isolation, and public contact management. Use it with respect for sender terms, third-party rights, and capacity needed by other users.
Do not use automation to create addresses in bulk, repeatedly request verification codes, bypass rate limits, or consume abnormal resources. We may set rate and quantity limits to maintain fair use.
Emails are sent by third parties; OurTemp does not create, endorse, or guarantee their authenticity. Verify the sender yourself before opening links, downloading attachments, or acting on an email.
A destination site may reject temporary or forwarding addresses, and we cannot require it to accept them. You are responsible for transactions, accounts, and disputes between you and third parties.
Temporary inboxes expire at the time shown in the interface unless you successfully extend them before expiry. After expiry, manual deletion, or changing the address, emails and access may disappear immediately or permanently during cleanup.
Delivery history is retained for up to 30 days and is not a backup service. Save important verification codes, receipts, or recovery information while you still have access.
We work to keep the service available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or delivery of every email. Network failures, sender policies, spam filters, and maintenance may cause delays or loss.
We may modify, suspend, or end features for security, legal, or operational reasons. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of significant planned changes.
Do not attempt to obtain addresses, tokens, emails, or accounts that are not yours, scan for vulnerabilities, inject code, or bypass access controls. If you discover a security issue in good faith, send the details privately to support.
We may automatically restrict abnormal traffic and manually review suspected abuse. Serious or urgent risks may be blocked without advance notice.
OurTemp’s brand, interface, illustrations, code, and original text are protected by applicable law. You receive only a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the service under these rules.
You retain rights in your feedback, but allow us to use it to improve the service without identifying you. Do not copy the brand in a way that suggests an official partnership or endorsement.
We may suspend an address, alias, or account for rule violations, security risks, or valid legal requests. Where reasonable, minor and fixable issues may be given an opportunity to be corrected.
You may delete aliases and stop using the service. If you believe a restriction is mistaken, contact support from your account email and provide the time and relevant address so we can investigate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is and as available, without a promise that it is suitable for particular high-risk uses. Do not rely on a temporary address as the sole recovery method for an important account.
We are not responsible for third-party emails, destination-site decisions, indirect losses, or irreversible losses caused by expiration and deletion. Liability that cannot be excluded by law remains subject to mandatory rules.
When these rules change, we will update the effective date; significant changes will be highlighted on the website. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept the updated rules, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
Send questions, infringement notices, or disputes first to support@ourtemp.com. We aim to resolve them through clear communication. If that is not possible, applicable law and the competent courts will be determined by the mandatory rules of your location.
